I am originally from Chicago having located out here when I finished college in 1986.

I have spent 10+ years in the music/entertainment business so I'm very familiar with the "live" Jazz (trust me...if you are a serious jazz fan you'll need help here) and/or Rock venues (small, smokey bars or large, cavernous institutions...). I have been to all that are relevant and I can tell you about the crowds before you walk into a place with people half/twice your age...

Because I have never been married nor do I have children I have been free to pursue the night life with a clear mind and a free will and I can assure you I have done so with great success and "much ado about many things".

In addition to having the night in my veins I also have a voracious appetite for all that is outdoors in "The Great Northwest". I have mountain biked all over the state and can take you on the coolest, safest "city ride" you could ever imagine including Alki beach (site of the very first non Native American landing and subsequent settlers), show you the best views from the now famous Burke-Gillman trail or take you to literally any vantage point you'd like to see the Emerald city from. I can also take you 30 miles out and 6,000 feet up into the mountain air including a 45 minute "coast" down hill (for the serious mt. biker ONLY) that you will never forget!

I am, more than anything, still completely and unabashedly in love with this amazing city. We've certainly taken our hits in the recent past (WTO riots, Boing going) but overall there is NOT a more beautiful, more friendly, more unique city in the world and if you REALLY want to see it from a local's (native Seattleites say more than 10 years here qualify's me for "local" status) perspective with a fun, up-tempo attitude and an intimate knowledge of the right nooks and wrong crannies contact Mitch.
P.S. There are many off-the-beaten-path Seattle eateries that are not only inexpensive but like so many other cities only available to those with an intimate knowledge of the city.
